Sardinia and Veneto: from the union of two lands rich in tradition and culture, skillfully blended, was born a young winemaking reality: the company Vineyards Zanatta.
The Gallura area of Sardinia is characterized by granitic rocks smoothed by the wind, rain and sea and by land, thin and not very fertile, but leaves space to the north, to large areas planted with vines. And here, Bruno Zanatta, young winemaker from Treviso in 1975 began his career developing a profound knowledge of the territory and of the Sardinian land.
After thirty years his passion, now consolidated turns, standing next to his son Marco, in what is now considered a true reality that extends over an area of over 100 hectares, was founded the family company.
The first 16 hectares purchased in 2003 in a hilly area 300 meters above sea level, are destined to vineyards of varieties Vermentino and Cannonau.
Also in Gallura, in the municipality of Olbia, in 2005 they are purchased another 90 hectares and here with patience, dedication and love, year after year are planted over 60 hectares. It is in this area that focuses the real production of Vermentino di Gallura DOCG and Cannonau di Sardegna DOC.
In 2008, the production cycle was completed with the construction of the winery, at the same time, the company is back in his homeland: the Veneto.
